SINGAPORE, 17 November 2014 – Today, Joyful Frog Digital Incubator (JFDI), Asia’s leading startup accelerator announces new initiative with Idea-Lab.kz to bring Kazakh startups into the global market through the “Kazakhstan Go Global” program. The five Kazakh teams started the program by completing the 21-day JFDI Discover program and are selected for a month-long acceleration program in Singapore starting 17 November.
Designed specifically to support Kazakh startups from all tech sectors, Kazakhstan Go Global will be hosted at JFDI’s innovation campus in Singapore. It will give participants greater insight into their business ideas and gain both invaluable feedback and exposure to JFDI’s network of investors, partners and mentors.
This joint program “Kazakhstan Go Global” started with Kazakh teams attending JFDI’s Discover course online. Eight teams were then picked to attend a 2-day masterclass at Astana in late October where they pitched to JFDI.Asia CEO, Hugh Mason, and presented their business models and products. The final five startups were then selected by JFDI.Asia for their strong commercial potential and will be heading to Singapore.
Rashid Dyussembayev, lead organiser of “Kazakhstan Go Global” said, “This program will allow Kazakh startups to discover new opportunities in Asia and scale their businesses. Through the course of the year, we want to help them to gain a foothold in new markets.”

- WoopPay, Alexander Doroshenko
WooPay is an electronic wallet which you can use to pay for more than 500 services. All transactions on WoopPay are carried out in accordance with the law for electronic money.
- Mobiliuz, Ruslan Yegembaev
Mobiliuz a platform that gives the car internet access. It reads data from the vehicle’s computer, providing detailed information about the state of the car, your driving style and fuel consumption.
- Pleaple, Daulet Ospanov
Pleaple is a platform on which people can develop their interests together. If you have any hobby (learning needlework, history, philosophy, playing musical instruments, singing, playing basketball or football, religious themes and much more), you can create a strong circle of associates.
- PhoneBooth, Kairat Akhmetov
The Phonebooth app is designed to optimize the cost of calls in call-venters that are using Internet facilities. It has a mobile application directory that contains phone banks, delivery services, taxi. You can call directly from the directory, using Wifi or a 3G connection.
- VA3S (Video Analytics As A Service), Magzhan Kayranbay and Beybut Amirgaliyev
VA3S a company engaged in the development of intelligent video analysis systems for the recognition of state license plates. The novelty of the system in providing analytics service based on cloud technologies: Scalable, available (24/7), reliable, and less demanding on the hardware resources of the end user.
