This post contains a selection of tweets and images from our most recent Demo Day. We will soon update our website to show more feedback from teams and investors for the class of 2013B. In the meantime, please enjoy these highlighted moments!
They had toiled with gusto and good humour for 100 days, in an intense accelerator program designed to take their startups from idea to investment-readiness. Finally, with a mixture of nervousness and excited anticipation, they found themselves face-to-face with the very thing they had been working tirelessly toward : JFDI.Asia Demo Day (2013B)!
Last Monday saw investors from around the world converge in an entertainment venue based in the Orchard area of Singapore to watch eight new startups pitch their businesses to secure seed funding.
Demo day has pulled in quite a crowd. We’re so happy you could all join us! #JFDIpic.twitter.com/WnKYZzRd9L
People are here from all over the globe… Russia, Malaysia, Norway…and many more #JFDI pic.twitter.com/Fc32W6jTCM
Whilst guests were getting to know each other, I wandered backstage to see how teams were doing. I found them in a variety of positions! Some were rehearsing….
Backstage, teams are doing last minute prep. Say hi to the Obatech girls! #JFDI pic.twitter.com/pRk56yZ3wW
Some were goofing around…..
The Skimbl boys are larking about backstage without a care in the world 🙂 #JFDI pic.twitter.com/rqW04foRH2
Some were chilling out……

Back in the reception area, guests received warm greetings from Chiah Li, Elin and the rest of TeamFrog:
People are arriving and getting a nice frog welcome #JFDI pic.twitter.com/Iz3FNoy5C2
…..and were eager to see the pitches. Daryl at Red Dot Ventures had this to say:
Investors, investors everywhere! All waiting eagerly for the start of the @jfdiasia demo day!#jfdi pic.twitter.com/PzjHFlG3Kn
While Gwen, a journalist from Tech In Asia, tweeted:

Good spirits and eager anticipation were palpable as JFDI co-founder Hugh Mason came on to stage to warm up the crowd (not that they needed warming):
The show is on in rock ‘n’ roll style @jfdiasia Demo day #jfdi
The ever humorous @hughmason for demo day! #jfdi pic.twitter.com/ZXBbXDZ4Gp
It was a pleasure to see that investors were impressed with the calibre of the teams and strength of the startups:
I don’t always do Demo Days, but when I do I do #JFDI pic.twitter.com/YOYUw9DLtF

Founding partner of Jungle Ventures had this to say:
Blown away by the passion and robustness of Founders at #jfdi. Great job @VaultDragon @Healint and others. pic.twitter.com/DX2Eo0pr50
Although not all the invited investors could attend, they were there in spirit as they sent messages of support (which were received with fondness):
Good luck @jfdiasia startups for your demo day. With love from Bali
Once presentations were over, investors and startups spent the next couple hours mingling and making arrangements to see each other post-demo day.
Still lots of food and chatter as investors and teams get to know each other #JFDI pic.twitter.com/SvkTsWyXK4
It was thrilling to see investors gathering around the various teams to find out more or exchange details. The space was filled with energetic chatter and good-natured smiles. It was good to see that the event was enjoyed by all.
@jfdiasia One of the best moments in the whole experience as an accelerator staff member. Congrats @raywu @hughmason @mengwong & co.
And finally, a stageful of thanks to all who contributed towards the success of our latest program and demo day! We could not do this without the support of the community.
