The team are very young. Besides lacking domain expertise, they lack business savvy. Given that the idea doesn’t seem particularly inspired – it doesn’t even scratch their own itch – the desire to found a startup may be based on economic or lifestyle factors. While the team may find success doing freelancing or outsourced development, there is little potential for a scalable startup. After being in the world for a few years and seeing a range of value propositions, business models, and pain points firsthand, the team can try again.
